A MAN arrested on suspicion of the murder of two Bridlington women was today still being interviewed by detectives.
Peter Allan Foster, 46, of Bridlington, was arrested yesterday morning in connection with the death of Linda Wardill, 48, in December last year and the death of Linda Moreen Chapman Grimm, 38, in July 1998.
It was during the investigation of Miss Wardill's death, which is believed to be the result of an assault, that detectives began re-examining the circumstances of Ms Grimm's death, which was not thought to be suspicious at the time.
Officers are also appealing for two of Mr Foster's former girlfriends to come forward. Police believe that one, whose name they do not know, has moved to the North East while the other, thought to be named Linda, moved to the Manchester area.
Police have had a good response from the public, but they are still appealing for information about Linda Wardill and her lifestyle, particularly in the days running up to her death.
They are also seeking information about Linda Grimm and her time in Bridlington in the days and weeks before her death in July 1998.
Anyone with information should contact the incident room on 01377 241882 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
