HUNDREDS of people wanting to escape to the sun or looking for the adventure of a life time went along to the Evening Press Holiday, Travel and Leisure Exhibition at the weekend.
The event, held at the Assembly Rooms, in York, and sponsored by Shearings Holidays, focused on leisure and recreation as well as the traditional holidays.
Visitors were able to get information about a whole range of holidays from travel firms, including some offering more adventurous travel experiences.
Wendy Neale, Evening Press events co-ordinator, said: "It was a fantastic day, we had a really good attendance and it was very busy.
"There was lots going on with hundreds of people there and many booking their holidays."
