DIVISION four Volunteer Reserves took a 3-1 lead against second division Derwent United in the John Smith's Bitter Cup and were denied a fourth goal by a controversial decision when the ball seemingly crossed the line.
That gave Derwent a chance which they duly took with two goals apiece from Allen and Collins, plus a solo goal from Wilford, to run out 5-3 winners.
In the much-postponed Mecca Trophy second round tie Scarisbrick gave King's Arms a first half lead at Hemingbrough. Ward equalised for the home side and that's how it remained before Kings Arm's finally won 4-2 on penalties.
Broadbent, meanwhile, hit a hat-trick as Bishopthorpe crushed Burnholme 8-2 in a third round tie.
Bridge Colts also hit eight, with Tolworthy scoring three in an 8-3 triumph over St Clement's WMC.
Inland Revenue took a two-goal lead through Ingram and Hilton against The Plough but the visitors fought back to level before finally winning 4-2 on penalties.
Haigh scored twice as division four leaders Opticare won 4-1 at division six leaders Selby Olympia Reserves.
