A NEW club for youngsters with disabilities is being launched at City of York Council's Oaklands Sports Centre.
The club offers local young people under 18 years of age the chance to meet new friends and play a variety of sports and activities. Carers and friends are also welcome.
The sessions, at 7pm to 8.30pm on Wednesdays, incorporate a wide range of activities, including boccia, T-ball, tabletop games and other activities, all suitable for a wide range of abilities.
Leaders also hope that club members will be able to take part in local competitive tournaments such as the Regional Youth Games and Federation of Disability Sports Organisation tournaments.
For more information about the club, please contact Oaklands Sport Centre on 782841.
