DO YOU ever dream of putting your foot to the floor and pushing your car to its limits?
Well, the chance to make your fantasy come true is coming very soon to an airfield near York.
Anyone with a valid driving licence, MoT and car tax will be eligible to enter their motor in a contest to find the UK's fastest accelerating, road-legal car.
Even if they do not want to take part in the competition, drivers will be able to find out what their vehicle can do by testing its acceleration and top speed.
Competitors will be required to drive from 0 to 60mph in the quickest time at the Extreme Machines Show at Elvington Airfield on March 15.
In the running for the title is Jeff Seddons and his "big dub" twin engine VW, unofficially timed at 3.2 seconds.
To enter, email details of your car, with an estimate of the 0 to 60 mph time, along with a contact number to:
dwayne@extrememachinesshow.com
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
