DESPITE missing several players on North Yorkshire county duty, York RUFC Under 15s beat West Park Bramhope 22-5.
York were captained by Alex Rogers for the first time, at the same time his elder brother Duncan was captaining the colts to victory on the adjoining pitch.
York controlled the majority of the first half resulting in tries for Oliver Brandon-Davies and Nathan Forest.
In the second half a resurgent West Park side was contained by superb defence in which man-of-the-match Joel Lancaster, Jacob Hunt and Adam Milner were prominent.
Further tries were scored by Rogers and Jack Buxton with Simon White adding one conversion. West Park gained some consolation by scoring a well-worked forward's try.
