A COSTUME collection ranging from 1970s knitting patterns to an embroidered 17th century purse is to be the topic of a public talk.
Josie Sheppard, curator of costume and textiles at the Castle Museum, will display sections of its vast collection at the illustrated event of January 30.
On show will be items ranging from the everyday to the unusual.
"It will include a pot pourri of examples from the collection and will allow people a rare glimpse of items that are not normally seen," said Mrs Sheppard.
Tickets are available by phoning 01904 553125.
