THE Rising Stars, from the Railway Institute Players, open their pantomime production, Mother Goose, tonight.
This is the fourth panto from the creative fount of York writing duo Steve Symonds and Charlotte Gray, who attracted packed houses last year and are closing in on another sell-out run this time.
Show highlights in Mother Goose include the baddie Charlie McNasty teaming up with his Charlie's Angels and appearances by skeletons and fairies in a story where true love conquers all once more.
Principal roles go to Steve Symonds himself as Mother Goose; Richard Marshall as Charlie McNasty; Charlotte Gray as Jack, the principal boy; Katie Senior, principal girl Jill; Tom Banks, the comic Sam; and Amy Rouswell, the Goose.
Mother Goose runs from until Saturday at the Railway Institute, Queen Street, York, at 7.30pm nightly, plus a 2pm Saturday matinee. Tickets cost £4 for adults, £2.50 for concessions, on 01904 623222.
