THE new season at Oak House, Pocklington Civic Arts Centre, is under way.
Tomorrow sees the Chautauqua triple bill of American singer-songwriters, Peter Mulvey, Kris Delmhorst and Jeffrey Foucault. They will showcase their new albums, on the Acoustic Roots Records label, at 8pm.
The Laughing Gas Comedy Club returns to Pocklington on Thursday when North Eastern compere Neil Magee introduces Alfie Joey in the Studio Bar at 8pm. Joey trained as a priest, became a Harrods toy demonstrator and then turned to comedy, not least as the regular warm-up man for Skinner & Baddiel.
For tickets, phone 01759 301547.
See this Friday Night Fever for a full preview of the Oak House season ahead.
