HOUSEHOLDERS across North Yorkshire are being urged to go green and recycle their old Yellow Pages to spare the environment.
A Yellow Pages recycling campaign has been launched in the region with homeowners being encouraged to recycle their old directories.
The campaign is being run by North Yorkshire County Council and supported by The Directory Recycling Scheme, which is sponsored by Yellow Pages.
The campaign has been boosted by a grant from The Directory Recycling Scheme to the county council.
Throughout the year, banks clearly displaying Yellow Pages recycling stickers will be located at household waste sites.
Further information can be obtained from www.yellgroup.com, or the Directory Recycling Helpline on 0800-671444. Alternatively, contact Waste Management at North Yorkshire County Council, on 01609 532512.
