I WAS delighted to read that the drug Beta-Interferon will be available for MS patients in the area (January 11).
This is long overdue. The cost per patient, per year should not have even entered the equation.
People who suffer from multiple sclerosis deserve only the best treatment and care. Hopefully, the drug will delay the progression of this debilitating disease. This can only be good news.
It is a pity, though, that it is not available to all sufferers and is dependent upon the present state of the individual's MS. I hope this issue will be addressed in the very near future.
