HOW pleasing it was to read of the Duke of Edinburgh awards recorded in the Evening Press (January 13).
Congratulations are due to all those young people who put their leisure time to good use in their desire to improve their lives.
So much for all this nonsense about boredom and there being nothing to do.
There is only 'nothing to do' for those who don't want to do anything; anything worthwhile, that is.
We are all so ready to know young people and the media so quick to pick up on their wrongdoings.
The achievements of these people deserved greater prominence.
Carry on the good work. We are proud to have you in our community.
