A GROUP of builders and contractors have shown some bare-faced cheek - for a naked charity calendar.
Employees at Fulford Builders, at Clifton Moor, have joined forces with Hunters estate agent and a group of sub-contractors to raise money for a cancer charity.
More than a dozen workers, including former York City footballer Andy McMillan, swapped their overalls for make-up foundation during a day-long photo shoot at a derelict Malton property.
Managing director Zoe Plummer said the glossy calendar was "tastefully done" and the men had been very enthusiastic during the chilly December outing.
"The photos involved have a lot of builder's equipment in strategic places," she said. She said there had been "a lot of bravado and comparing of props."
Zoe said more than 200 copies of the calendar had already been sold, raising hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Andy, who works for Hunters and appears as Mr June in the calendar, said he "didn't realise what he was getting into."
But he said the photo shoot was great fun and he was delighted that all proceeds would go towards a worthy cause.
The calendar costs £5 and is available at Jewsons, Green Lane, Clifton and Hunters estate agent, in Colliergate, York.
