CITY'S North Riding Senior Cup tie at Whitby Town has been rescheduled for Monday, January 27 (7.45pm).
The match was set to go ahead earlier this month but was called off because of a waterlogged pitch at Whitby's Turnbull Ground.
The quarter-final tie must be played before the end of this month and will now take place just two days after City's first trip to Hull City's new Kingston Communications Stadium on January 25.
YORK City Ladies reached the fourth round of the Yorkshire Cup with a 7-1 win over Talbot Tigers.
Surprisingly given the margin of victory, the score was 1-1 at half-time after Charley Woodward's opener for York was cancelled out by a Tigers' leveller.
York took command in the second half with Jenny Garnett and Louise Ross both grabbing hat-tricks.
THE expected return to action of skipper Chris Brass today could not have been better timed, with his lead at the top of the Evening Press players of the year rankings under threat.
With Brass sidelined over recent weeks following a fractured cheekbone, two-time winner Alan Fettis has moved into second place, picking up another man of the match accolade and three-point haul at Torquay last Saturday.
Striker Peter Duffield remains in the hunt after returning to the goal trail at Plainmoor and earning two points.
Latest positions: Brass 23 points, Fettis 22, Smith 21, Duffield 19, Parkin 15, Cook 13, Nogan 13, Edmondson 12, Cowan 11, Fox 7, Beresford 5, Brackstone 5, Reddy 4, Bullock 3, Hobson 2, Jones 1, Potter 1, Wise 1.
