A BANNER made in York is being used to mark the launch of the European Year of the Disabled.
Disabled support organisation Remploy has been relaying the flag across Yorkshire this week - including this stop in York, where it was met by the Lord Mayor of York, Coun David Horton.
He was one of a number of civic leaders across the region to meet the team with the flag, which is being used to bring equal rights for the disabled to public attention.
The Remploy banner also visited Hull, Leeds, and Pontefract, among other stops on its itinerary.
"The flag started off in Hull on Tuesday and ended up in Birkenhead on Wednesday night," said Coun Horton, who praised the initiative from Remploy. "And these flags were actually made at the Remploy factory here in York."
