IT Sports beat a weakened Clifton 'A' team 7-2 in men's division one of York Badminton League.
Phil Dyson and Stuart Fieldhouse led the charge for IT Sports with three wins for 90-24. This included a 7 and 7win over Kevin Davison and Ian Shore, who took both Clifton wins.
Steve Park and Mark Harris led the way for Drax 'A' as their side beat RI Tuesday/Thursday 'A' 6-3 in Men's One. Parr and Harris returned 103-78 including a 15-6, 17-15 over Ian sinker and Wasten Siallagan, who took two Institute wins.
Riverside kept on the winning trail in men's division two with a 7-2 home win over University Students 'B'.
Geoff Oxley and Craig Dobson won three for Riverside but were pushed hard by Sam Gardiner and Heng Feng Chu before winning 15-4, 12-15, 17-16.
St John's scored a surprise 6-3 home win over Drax 'B' in men's division two. Dave Dearsley and Liam Whittington took the Drax Honours with three wins but were also run close by Dave Hearn and Graham Campbell before winning 15-13, 7-15, 17-15.
Fulfordgate scored a rare 6-3 away win over RI Tuesday/Thursday 'C' in Men's Division Three. Pete Wilkinson and Alan Roberts put in the best display for the visitors with three straight wins for 90-38.
York RI 'A' beat old rivals Clifton 'B' 8-1 in mixed division one. Pete Crosland and Nicola Coggins topscored for the Institute with a well taken maximum, while Simon Taylor and Lorraine Ellis took the Clifton consolation with a 15-10, 6-15, 15-12 win over Nick Brodie and Joyce Petch.
Easingwold beat Huntington 'A' 6-3 in a closely contested mixed division two fixture. Linda Dallinson and Nick Croaker were the pick of the home pairs with three wins for 113-82, including a tough 14-17, 17-14, 15-6 win over Lisa Turner and Clive Debenham.
Rowntree 'A' scored a comprehensive 9-0 home win over Knavesmire 'A' in mixed division two. The visitors were a pairing short and had to concede three rubbers, but the best home pair were Jeff Whittaker and Brenda Drummond who took two straight wins for 60-31.
Huntington 'B' kept on the promotion trail in mixed division four with an 8-1 hoe win over Drax 'E'.
John Deighton and Carolyn Arden kept up their good form with another three wins for a total of 90-27. Adam Prescott and Sue Hardy picked the Drax consolation with a 7 and 2 win over M Chambers and S Gates.
Selby Jubilee 'B' won the battle of the Selby clubs with a 6-3 away win over Drax 'F'. Ian MacGregor and Val Newman topped the Jubilee averages with three straight wins for 92-49.
Riverside kept on their inevitable path towards the mixed division six title with a 9-0 away win over Scarthingwell. Sue Sharp and Ian McKinlay topped the visitors returns with three straight wins for 90-11.
