A tough final leg of the Yorkshire Winter League fished on a chilly and rising Ouse around Hunters Lodge saw Wibsey Angling snatch victory as their main rivals crashed out.
John Cyrowski (Armley Angling) topped the 80-entry field with just a level 2lb.
Drawn 244 in a productive section in the middle willows at Linton, he fished close in with both bomb and pole with red maggot for eight roach.
At the next peg Dave Hardy (Wibsey Angling) used bomb and maggot pole and pinkie for seven roach and a few small dace scaling 1lb 14oz. Martyn Highe (Hirst Tackle) continued his superb run and bagged a couple more points at last with his 1lb 4oz from the same area.

Final League: Wibsey Angling 13; Hirst Tackle A 15; Anglers World York 16; Hirst Tackle B 22; Armley Angling 25; Castleford 36; Marsh Tackle 37; Leeds 48.
Highe (Hirst Tackle) scored an amazing third Ouse win on the trot in Saturday's flood-affected 48-entry on the Ouse at Hunters Lodge and Widdington.
Drawn 225 below the bungalows at Hunters, he pocketed £160 for just two roach scaling 10oz. Half his net fell to pole and red maggot, the remainder coming on straight lead and the same bait. Lee Lawton (Hirst Tackle) had a single roach of 6oz 8dr on bomb and lobworm from peg 11 Thorpe Underwood.
Others: Norman Thewliss (Hirst Tackle) 0-6-0; Tony Hewson (Armley Angling) 0-4-0; Stan Jeffries (Armley Angling) 0-3-0; Keith Mitchell (Selby) 0-2-0.
A cold River Wharfe at Smaws Ings saw the 40-entry field in the Tadcaster Open struggle for a few small fish.
Clive Stokes (Selby) led from peg 59 below the gauging station where he worked the middle of the river with waggler and bronze maggot for 2lb 8oz of tiny roach and dace. Pete Cousins (Knaresborough) took second from peg 66 below the armchair where he took 1lb 15oz of small silver fish close in on stick and maggot.
Others: Dave Hare (Knaresborough) 1-14-0; Mick Wheelhouse (Tadcaster) 1-13-0; Bernard Nevison (Leeds) 1-9-8; Alistair Wilkes (Tadcaster) 1-8-0.
Chub dominated Sunday's 75-peg Bradford Open on a low, clear River Nidd at Cowthorpe. Pennine stick float ace Fred Prudham (Medlock Bridge) is normally more at home bagging roach on the Calder but after a recent big chub weight on the Swale he was at it again with victory from end peg on the dog kennel section. Offering double maggot under a stick in mid-river, he took a dozen chub at intervals for 31lb 5oz and an easy win.
Bob Newby (Bradford NO1) took second from peg 27 above the dip hole. He targeted the far side willows with waggler and caster and was rewarded with 13lb 10oz.
Others: Dougie Fawkin (Airborough) 8-3-0; Pete Atkins (Bradford NO1) 7-12-0; Don McAllister (Bentley Angling Centre) 7-8-0; Barry Hutchinson (Saltaire) 7-4-0.
The 40-entry Woodlands Open proved to be a real grueller with a thick layer of ice covering much of the eight-lake complex.
After spending two hours breaking his way into Kestrel 2, Dave Bell (North Ormesby) had to wait until the final half-hour for a brace of carp that fell to pole and corn at five metres giving him a winning 6lb 2oz.
Mick Barwick (Selby) had a carp and a gudgeon on maggot feeder from Partridge 7 for his 1lb 1oz.
Others: Shaun Cameron (Elton Tackle) 0-13-0; Paul Manning (North Ormesby) 0-9-0; Mick Wilson (Leeds) and Mick Turner (Leeds) both 0-8-0.
Weights had improved with the warming weather by Sunday but again many of the 46-field found the going tough.
A brief flurry of early action saw Phil Sellars (Elton Tackle) put together a creditable winning haul of 24lb 5oz from Swallow 14. Offering corn at 16 metres towards the island, he found carp to 4lb in a hectic opening hour.
Tony Biggins (Leeds Juniors) had a brace of carp to bomb and corn from Mallard 15 for his 11lb 1oz.
Others: Steve Bowyer (Army) 10-2-0; John Goodall (Outwood Angling) 6-11-0; John Bradshaw (Sensas Garbolino) and Dave Winter (Bob.Co) both 6-10-0.
