Derwent Table Tennis Club return to British League action this weekend for what could be a significant time for both teams' chances of promotion.
Both travel to Widnes, where the first team only have one match due to Darlington's withdrawal from the league. They currently top division one north, but will be facing their nearest challengers, Coventry Phoenix, in a match that could decide the championship.
In division two north, Derwent 2nds, who have moved to fourth, have matches against bottom-club Clarks Wakefield and second-placed Elgre (Nottingham).
Derwent 2nds will be looking for two victories to maintain a challenge for a top-two finish.
Derwent's squad for the weekend is Dave Godbold, Andrew Horsfield, Richard Smith, Simon Noutch, Steve Horsfield, Richard Moss, Mick Wilcockson and Chris Nicholls.
