WORKERS from a York veterinary supplier raised more than £400 for a children's hospice.
A "bacon bash", tombola and raffle were organised by Denise McGibbon at Animal Care, Dunnington, as part of a year-long fundraising effort for Martin House Children's Hospice, near Boston Spa.
Operations manager Sarah Millward said: "Although we do generally support animal charities the girls wanted to do something a bit different.
"We wanted something local that we all believed in."
The workers are planning further fundraising events for Pancake Day, Easter, and throughout the summer.
