BRITAIN'S tweenagers are the richest in Europe. Our ten to 13-year-olds spend their average £7.58 pocket money on CDs and glossy magazines, a survey found.
This news may confuse older generations who grew up with vinyl singles and the Beano without the slightest notion that they were tweenagers.
Modern youngsters are awash with cash because their divorced parents give them guilt money, it is claimed. But the upside is, they are gaining a vital education in consumerism.
Some have already learned how to save money.
The next step is for them to heed dire Government warnings - and start putting something away for their pensions.
