Cygnet 'A' strengthened their grip on the top spot in York Unique-Phoenix League division one with an emphatic 6-1 win at Slipper.
A 180 for 16 darts, followed by a 20-darter from Pete Leake gave Cygnet a 3-1 lead then Dave Mason backed with a 19 darter to secure the win.
Graham Sanderson's superb 151 finish for 21 gave Clifton a 4-3 win at Shepherd, whose Mick Willsden played well. Sanderson was well supported by John Holmes (19) and Martyn Turner (19, 20).
A 127 check for an excellent 18 and a maximum for 20 darts from Arthur Conyers sealed the 4-3 win for Bishopthorpe at Tap 'A' after Tony Raymond had produced a 180 which took him out in 18 darts. Conyers-Raymond did 701 in 25 darts.
Gary Stewart was Holgate's only point-taker against a rampant Acomb Sports. Andy Morton scored a team-game maximum, then chalked 20 darts to clinch victory. Mick Harris threw a bull finish and a maximum while recording two 18-dart games.
The division two leaders, Rose & Crown, suffered their first defeat of the season at Cygnet 'B'. Paul Cooper (21) hit the big scores, well supported by Ian Hartley.
Phoenix's quest for honours was given a boost by new signing Lee Lambrou whose brilliant 146 finish for 18 darts inspired a 5-2 scoreline. Paul Robinson added 21 darts while best for Lord Nelson was their captain, Phil Cuss.
The Pairs competition will take place at Hospital Social Club next Monday (8.30pm).
Shelagh Kenny finished 100 with two darts to give Leeman 'C' a great start against Woolpack York John Smith's Ladies League division three.
However, after being all square going in to the pairs, Woolpack pulled out all the stops for a 6-3 victory.
Sue Skinner shot out on 70, while partnering Ann Barker which put Tang Hall WMC at 4-4 with Mitre and Barbara Ward-Mavis Rawcliffe secured the win.
The Viv Howie-Sadie Ducey Mount combination secured a 5-4 win at Reindeer and Old Ebor's Audrey Allan-Davinia Phillips did likewise against Cue Ball.
Puss 'B' were on level terms with their 'A' team after the singles thanks to good scoring by both Linda Ewan and Dot Sellars. Nevertheless, the 'A' side showed their strength by polishing off all the pairs.
Thirteen proved lucky for division one pace-setters Palace, that being the number of ton-plus scores they registered in a 7-2 win over Tap.
Sandra Bruce checked out bullseye to get the decider after Ox colleagues Tracey Bruce-Wendy Shortle had made it 4-4 with Slip.
Angie Hields, who registered 100, 100, 140, 121, and Tracey Farmeary were CueBall's only successes at Phoenix whose Carol Perrett starred.
Cygnet 'A' took the first four before Cindy Benton and Sue Claydon put Cygnet 'B' on the scoresheet. Wendy Smith partnered Elaine Bateman to give the 'A' team victory.
Jubilee moved up division two by beating Clifton 'B' whose only winner was Julie Maycock. Sylvia Keenan included 130 for 21 darts then, partnering Angie Lancaster, also gamed in 21.
Leeman 'B' went into top spot after a nail-biting 5-4 win against close rivals Dringhouses. Eileen White-Toni Smallwood won the decider.
Shepherd 'A' lost 6-3 to their 'B' team, while a Carol Price maximum put Holgate to a decider but Britannia had Chris Garbutt-Joan Harrison collecting the win.
Leeman 'A' had their captain Peggy Rose making it 5-1 at Burton WMC whose winner was Julie Bruce.
Sue Richardson partnered Val Long to secure Severus a 5-4 at Blacksmith's.
Teams should note, Castle Howard Ox are now playing home matches at The Independent, Penley Grove Street.
New Earswick Bowling Club spoiled Six Bells' push for the York White Rose Ladies League division two title when beating them 4-3.
Janet Clarke put Bells within a game of victory but Ann Ella drew level then Earswick's captain, Janet Curry, shot a splendid 20 darts to take the decider.
Lord Nelson were whitewashed at Acomb Sports, while Rose O'Bee secured Slipper's victory at Deramore.
Tap took the team and first pair game but Chris Horsman-Milly Mountain stemmed the tide and Crescent collected the remainder.
Linda Knight got the winner for Bay Horse, Tadcaster, at Red Lion in division three.
