City of York Ladies IV resumed their fixtures in Yorkshire League division six with a 2-0 home defeat to Tadcaster II.
With Julia Lancaster playing well in midfield, the young York side had the edge early on but Tadcaster were sharper in front of goal, taking a first-half lead.
After an evenly fought second-half, Tadcaster made the game safe with a goal late on.
The weather caused the postponement of other York league and cup games, but City of York I were able to play a friendly game at Harrogate, where they lost 2-1.
Karen Howells equalised for York from a penalty corner after Harrogate had taken an interval lead.
The home side then scored the winner mid-way through the second-half.
