POCKLINGTON Labour Party will be joined by junior education minister Stephen Twigg for the group's Burns Night celebrations.
Mr Twigg will be proposing a toast at the celebrations by both Pocklington and Beverley Labour Party at Armstrong's Social Club in Beverley.
The deputy mayor for Pockington, George McManus, who will be master of ceremonies, said: "We are delighted that Stephen is making the trip from London to experience first-hand the many attractions of the East Riding."
