NINETEEN North Yorkshire pubs are to take part in a massive charity pub quiz. The quiz will start at 8.30pm on Friday, January 24, in all the pubs. Contestants will be expected to put on their thinking caps and answer 100 questions in 30 minutes.
The proceeds from the quiz will go to Selby Lions local charities and the senior citizens' concert, which will be held on March 26. Last year's winners, The Ferry Inn at Cawood, will be taking part again.
Other pubs hoping to strip the champions of their title are: The Rose and Crown, Hemingbrough, The Fox and Pheasant, Hemingbrough, The New Inn, Cliffe, The New Inn, Barlby, The Bay Horse, Barlby, The Wadkin Arms, Barlby, The Jolly Sailor, Cawood, The Black Swan, Wistow, The Anchor, Burn, The Wheatsheaf, Burn,The Black Dog, Camblesforth, The George and Dragon, West Haddlesey, The Comus Inn, Camblesforth, The Fox, Thorpe Willoughby, The Wheatsheaf, Hambleton, Brayton Bowling Club, Selby Conservative Club, and The Albion Vaults, Selby.
