A EUROPEAN event organiser is urging York performers to visit Germany and join its musical festival.
Munster, which is twinned with York, is holding its music festival from May 30 to June 1 and is looking for groups and singers from the city who want to perform there.
Last year more than 300,000 people visited the event.
This year there are plans for nine stages to include cabaret, concerts, choirs and street musicians among others.
Bill Shaw, chairman of the York-Munster Association, believes it is a great opportunity.
He said: "A band from York went two years ago and had a great time with travel costs, accommodation and food provided."
Interested parties should contact the organiser Event Gastronie GmbH at Warendorfer Strasse 91, 48159 Munster, or by phoning 49 251 922 66 65, faxing 49 251 22222 or emailing info@eurocityfest.de
