COMMUNITY groups can now borrow a minibus thanks to a new scheme launched in the Selby area.
Selby District AVS is behind the community transport minibus brokerage scheme, which aims to have a whole fleet of minibuses available for the community for a fixed nominal fee.
The scheme is looking for minibus owners to join the scheme and allow groups to borrow the vehicle when it is not in use. Owners will receive money every time their minibus is used.
The first minibus to join belonged to Age Concern and 12 groups have already signed up to borrow vehicles.
For more information about the scheme, contact Ken Harris on 01757 708036.
