A FAREDODGER faces a £126.80 bill because he did not pay a £6.80 fare for a train journey.
York magistrates heard that Arriva staff caught Kevin Ricky Tute, 19, on a train without a ticket near York on September 14.
Martin Butterworth, prosecuting for British Transport Police, said he had not paid the £6.80 fare for his journey.
Tute, of Cherry Avenue, Malton, pleaded guilty by letter to faredodging.
He was not in court.
Magistrates fined him £80 with £40 court costs and ordered him to pay £6.80 compensation to the train company.
