EVENING Press paper seller Margaret Hill is to retire after 30 years.
Margaret, who lives in Whenby, first started delivering the paper to help her son out when he moved schools, but eventually took over the round full-time.
However, January 11 will be her last delivery before she undergoes surgery to have both hips replaced.
"It has been a bit difficult getting up the hill for the past few months," she said.
"But I've really enjoyed it."
Luckily Margaret has persuaded two young boys to take over the round - the only two children living in the village.
"I'm sure they'll do a good job," she said.
