EASINGWOLD is to start the New Year with a new market.
Yorkshire Ridings Produce will hold its first farmers' market in the market square on Wednesday, January 22, at 10am.
The market, which will feature meat, dairy and vegetable producers from around the county, will be the first of its kind to be held in the town.
The Mayor of Easingwold, Councillor Diane Gallon, who will officially open the market, said it was a positive boost to the town's economy.
"The idea was very well supported from the beginning," she said. "I think it will prove very popular."
