STORE boss Darren Scott will be getting on his bike on Monday in a tough charity cycling challenge.
The Matalan Clifton Moor deputy manager has pledged to leave his car at home to bike to work in aid of St Leonard's Hospice.
So he is getting set for a 50-mile trek from his home in Scunthorpe in a limb-busting drive to raise cash for the hospice. Darren said: "It was a spur of the moment decision. I am not normally a cyclist, but I have been practising. I have warned the boss that I will be late for work that day!"
Manager Bruce Milton said: "We will make sure Darren survives his bike ride and all the staff are supporting him. It's a great idea which we hope he won't regret."
