THIS is the guitar legend's first live CD since his 1992 multiple Grammy Award-winning Unplugged... and it is even better!

Sit back and wallow in almost two hours of Eric's classics, such as Key To The Highway, Tears In Heaven, Bell Bottom Blues, Layla and Cocaine to name just five of the 19 on offer.

He even does a creditable version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow from the 1939 Judy Garland tear-jerker, The Wizard Of Oz.

All the songs - except Over The Rainbow - featured in Clapton's sell-out world tour last year when he had fans, old and new, stomping from Los Angeles to Tokyo and further afield.

The title of the album came from a fair-ground barker.

Clapton was captivated by the rhythm and poignancy of: "One more car, one more rider," as the barker tried to fill the last seat in the last car before the ride started and decided to use it for this scintillating album.

Clapton has rightly been long revered as one of the best guitarists of his generation along with axe heroes such as Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page and he has paid his dues to the music industry.

He even dropped out of the limelight altogether for three years from 1973 but a talent as big as his could not be left to languish in obscurity.

He may be clocking on a bit, but Clapton is nowhere near clapped out.

His guitar work is still blisteringly brilliant and, with Andy Fairweather Low providing back-up vocals, this is one ride you must not miss.

The former Cream and Yardbird is an enduring example to rockers everywhere with his driving blues riffs, intertwined with his softer, soaring melodies. Slowhand is still in the fast lane.
