Selby Town continued their revival in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division last night with a 3-1 win over Sheffield at Flaxley Road.
Sheffield started much the better of the two sides and they took the lead after 20 minutes with a well-taken goal from Duncan Bray.
The Robins gradually got into the game and they equalised in the 35th minute when an Andy Cygan cross was headed in at the far post by Alan Jackson.
Selby played much better in the second half and they took the lead in the 56th minute after a good finish from Nigel Oldfield.
In a dramatic last five minutes Nigel Croad was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
But the Robins wrapped the game up in the 86th minute when Alan Clayton was brought down in the penalty area and Andy Hart blasted home the spot kick.
It was Selby's second successive win after six straight opening defeats, but they remain bottom of the pile as second-bottom Borrowash Victoria won 2-1 away to Arnold Town.
