SCARBOROUGH will look to build on the win over Morecambe in midweek when Northwich Victoria visit the McCain Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 3pm).

Manager Russ Slade will not hear talk of the injury crisis at the club, because he thinks that can breed negativity.

"If you go on and on about the players who are missing, it is almost like saying that the lads who will be playing aren't good enough to do the job," ventured the Boro boss.

"The players who beat Morecambe on Tuesday were magnificent and I know that whoever I send out will give me 100 per cent effort - and I can't ask for more than that."

Defender Richard Dryden and striker Keith Scott both limped out of that game and will face late fitness tests - as will one-time York City playmaker Scott Jordan, who has been troubled with a sore back this week.

One-time Oldham Athletic and Tranmere midfield ace Nicky Henry has resumed training and could find a place among the substitutes.

Youngster Colin Cryan has moved in a short-term loan deal from Sheffield United and will play if Dryden is not available, but he could also figure in midfield.

Slade knows all about the 21-year-old Irishman, as he was in charge of him when he was youth team coach at First Division Sheffield United, now led by one-time Boro boss Neil Warnock.
