YORK are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they take on Wheatley Hills at Clifton Park tomorrow (3pm).

Wheatley Hills are in mid-table having lost to Huddersfield YMCA at home last week, the team York beat in their last home game

Influential York stand-off Mark Roberts will be missing tomorrow as a result of the concussion he received during last Saturday's win at Dinnington. Craig Ventress will take Roberts' place.

The only other change in the backs is the return of Sean Bass to the centre in place of Stu Davies who moves to the bench.

In the pack the rotation system comes into operation with Jim Hawcutt taking Grant Williams' place in the starting line-up although Williams is expected to play a part in the match, as is Stu Davies. Also on the bench is Andy Smith who replaces Nick Hare as front row replacement.

The York pack have made a good start to the season and the charging runs of the improving Ian Davies have been a feature of the campaign to date.

Selby entertain Pontefract at Sandhill Lane in a 'must-win' game for both sides. Both clubs have managed victory in one of their opening four league games so tomorrow's losers will find themselves off the pace.

Recent games between the two have been close with the fixture producing a 13-13 draw last season, while Pontefract just won the return on their own ground, 18-15.

After last Saturday's big win over Ripon spirits are high in the Malton and Norton camp and there will be only one enforced change to the starting line up for the Yorkshire Two trip to West Park Bramhope.

Tom Piercy will join his brother Stephen in the front row, taking the place of Tom Eddy, who injured a knee in the opening quarter of last week's game.

The make-up of the substitutes' bench will not be decided until the last minute as both first and second teams will be travelling together. However, there is likely to be a place for veteran three-quarter Tim Chapman, who missed the win over Ripon.

West Park are one place below second-placed Malton, equal on points with an inferior points difference, so a close encounter is expected.

Pocklington will be hoping to register their first win in the same league when they travel to Heath.

Flanker Adam Pears is out so Pock add two back row forwards to the squad - the experienced Andy Green and former Huddersfield number eight Matthew Atkinson.

The recently-married Atkinson missed all last season through injury and has only just become available after completing the cricket season with Heworth, for whom he plays as wicketkeeper, and returning from honeymoon.

York RI have got a great opportunity to get their Yorkshire Three season back on track when they travel to Halifax Vandals, who have lost all four league games so far this season.

Despite recent disappointing form, RI will be in confident mood as four players return to the squad after recovering from injuries - scrum-half Nick Ward, second row Chris Austin and wing-forwards Nathan Ashman and Gareth Mallon.

Harrogate, who have made an indifferent start to National League division two will be hoping to make home advantage count tomorrow.

They tackle a Penzance-Newlyn side making the long haul north to Claro Road from Cornwall.
