New Earswick swimmer Heather Welsh finished on top of the combined points table for 15-year-olds after the completion of the Yorkshire ASA graded meetings in York, Harrogate and Leeds.

Swimmers competed in all four strokes over the 50metres, 100m and 200m distances.

She started her campaign in superb form with four wins at the first meet held in York and was able to maintain her lead, totalling 2,595 points.

Mark Baldry finished third in the 14-year-old section with 2,354 points after good results in York and Leeds.

Thirteen-year-old Emily Broadbent (1,964 points) and 15-year-old Lucy Gould (1,464 points) made it onto the points table although they were unable to attend all three meets.
