Heworth ARLC have jumped clear at the top of the National Conference League division two table without even playing.
The Villagers have leapfrogged previous leaders Castleford Panthers after Dewsbury Moor resigned from the league, with all their results - including their record-breaking defeat to the Panthers - being expunged.
Going into today's game against Cottingham Tigers, Heworth have a maximum eight points from four games, while Panthers, the only other team with a 100 per cent record, have been reduced to six points, although they now have a game in hand.
Dewsbury Moor, who have had trouble fielding full sides this season, have conceded 322 points in their four games, an average of more than 80 per game.
