DRAMA student Katie Booth went back to school for a TV reality game show and learned how to conquer her fear of spiders.
The 21-year-old budding actress confronted a life-long fear of eight-legged insects as a "pupil" contestant in Trouble TV's Cruel Summer II.
Katie, of Brunswick Street, York, emerged as the second-placed girl from the gruelling satellite TV show, which is based on life in a make-believe boarding school of horrors.
She was shown a hairy tarantula spider before being blindfolded and having it placed on her head.
But when she later found out that a rubber spider had been substituted for the real thing, she asked if she could touch a living specimen herself.
