North Yorkshire trainer Mark Johnston, on the mark at Ascot yesterday, can follow-up tomorrow by winning three races on the course with Systematic, Love You Always and Itemise.

And the Middleham handler vows he will on duty in Berkshire, despite launching a double-edged challenge on tomorrow's Canadian International at Wodbine with Zindabad, the mount of Kevin Darley, and Yavana's Pace, to be ridden by Keith Dalgleish.

Systematic, a typical Johnston performer, has never stopped improving all season and underlined his continued well-being with a gritty success at Doncaster's St Leger meeting, an effort which came close on the heels of a sterling run to finish fifth in the Great Voltigeur Stakes at York.

Systematic lines up for the opening Young Vic Theatre Cumberland Lodge Stakes and, with Darryll Holland riding, is fancied to lift this Group 3 prize.

Love You Always is a fascinating runner in the JRA London Office's 10th Anniversary Conditions Stakes over seven furlongs.

The two-year-old bolted home by a wide margin on his debut at Hamilton and has since been purchased by Godolphin, which means he will spend the winter in Dubai and will be trained next season by Saeed Bin Suroor.

In the meantime, Johnston can place this exciting colt to further advantage and tomorrow's race promises to show what Love You Always is really made of as he takes a step up the ladder.

Recent winner Itemise, a juvenile on the upgrade, can complete a treble for Johnston and Holland in the Sodexho Nursery over seven furlongs.

The Tatling, narrowly beaten by Funfair Wane in the Ayr Gold Cup last Saturday, bids for quick compensation in the £25,000 Riggs Bank Rated Handicap, while Tim Easterby sends Style Dancer, also narrowly beaten at Ayr, south for a crack at the £50,000 Mail On Sunday /Tote Mile Final.

Style Dancer came from a long way back to finish third to Lady Bear in Scotland and is clearly in good heart.

Dune is another worthy of note, in the £70,000 Tote Exacta Handicap.

Roger Charlton's colt, a luckless fourth at York's Ebor meeting, gained compensation on his next outing at Haydock. A 4lb penalty may not be enough to stop him.

Up at Musselburgh, nap selection Sarraaf should not be overlooked in the East Lothian News Handicap.

Ian Semple's charge has been somewhat disappointing in recent races, but he requires a furious gallop to bring out the best in him, and with at least two confirmed front-runners in tomorrow's field, he should be in his element.
