THE Powegen cup draws have handed the area's remaining sides a host of away fixtures.

In the Intermediate Cup, York's reward for their superb win over Scarborough is an even tougher draw, this time away to Driffield.

Pocklington, who knocked out York RI, will also travel to higher-placed opposition in the form of Yorkshire One outfit Dinnington, while Selby, conquerors of Northallerton, have been handed another Yorkshire Two trip, this time against Keighley.

Malton and Norton, who are big favourites for success in the Junior Vase, head to Wensleydale as they look to repeat the glory of their 2000/2001 triumph at Twickenham in the competition.

Harrogate are also on their travels, with Nuneaton awaiting them in round two (north) of the Powergen Cup. However, victory will see the Claro Roaders at home against National One outfit London Welsh in round three.

SELBY'S victory at Northallerton in the Intermediate Cup ended their away duck in the competition.

In their four previous away fixtures in the competition since 1987, Selby have crashed to defeats, leaking 124 points in total.

However, the Sandhill Lane club have now proved that they can win on the road and Jason Cicero's men will look to double the tally against Skipton.
