HOME was where the party was for Malton and Norton Golf Club ladies.
The club hosted the York Union of Golf Club's Fulford Rose Bowl tournament, and, in a virtual clean sweep, Malton and Norton dominated.
They occupied six out of the leading eight places, with three out of the top four going to the home heroines.
Kathryn Llewellyn, a 30-handicapper, won the event with the cash prize going to her nominated charity of the Goodricke Appeal, which provides phonic equipment for deaf children.
She posted a net score of 69 from club-mate Non Charman, who was second on count-back from Forest Park's Julie Ashton after both fired rounds of 72.
The fourth place went to Malton and Norton's Marty Thompson, who, after firing 74, was judged the next highest on count-back.
Said a club spokeswoman: "It's a long time since we hosted a York Union event, and to have three out of the four top places in the competition going to the club was superb."
