THIS is what Quo have done for five decades. This is what they do best and they have done it again... very well.
Heavy Traffic is Quo's first studio album for three years and proves the band has never lost its way during the years.
Their trademark driving rock is very much in evidence on numbers such as Jam Side Down, Do It Again and All Stand Up. The lyrics are as simple as the first few questions on The Weakest Link but Parfitt, Rossi and Co. are never in danger of being voted off.
Thirteen of the 14 tracks are new... but old in the nicest possible Quo way, if you get my drift. The band has had more hit albums - 31 - than any other outfit apart from the Rolling Stones. This is another to add to the long list.
