In Annie Get Your Gun, well and cheerily presented by The Shipton Players, the song "There's No Business Like Show Business" seems to fit "There's No Theatre Like Joseph Rowntree Theatre" for ambience, the welcome from the formally-dressed stewards, the buzz of expectation and the clapping in time to the beat at the finale. The whole show sparkled with the tone from the orchestra just right, so that the talented adults and children could be heard.
Congratulations to all. Now we look forward to Hobson's Choice presentation by The Rowntree Players, at the beginning of next month.
