ANDY Humphrey scored a hat-trick as City of York warmed up for the new season with a 4-2 win in a friendly at Stockton I.

He opened the scoring after ten minutes with a short-corner strike and York increased their lead when Mark Little slotted home Chris Dutton's pass from the backline.

Humphrey knocked in his second before Stockton pulled a goal back but York restored their three-goal cushion when Humphrey scored his hat-trick goal with a deflected shot.

Hull pulled a goal back straight after half-time only for Kyle Hogg to make it 3-1 with a run down the left and a fine shot.

York then netted two identical short corner goals in the final quarter with Jason Bemrose finding skipper Eric Folliott, who returned the ball to Bemrose to score.

City of York IV fell behind after just 30 seconds at home to Bradford III but recovered to equalise through Tony Neeve before the interval.

Bradford dominated the second period and found York goalkeeper Matthew Merrick in good form but he was unable to stop the visitors snatching the winner 15 minutes from the end.

City of York V won 3-1 at Bradford III, James Still putting York ahead from Richard Cockram's cross. Alex Cockram made it 2-0 before Bradford pulled a goal back from a short corner.

Alex Cockram sealed victory after an exciting period of end-to-end play with a fine solo run and brilliant shot.

Boston Spa III edged out City of York VI 2-1 in a thrilling encounter, Neil Reader scoring York's goal.
