Mark Hepworth, the head of the family law department at York-based commercial law firm Denison Till, has joined a highly-select group of North Yorkshire lawyers by being awarded specialist status by the Solicitors' Family Law Association (SFLA).
The SFLA status is designed to help people who are facing family breakdown to make an informed choice when seeking legal assistance.
Mr Hepworth said: "I am delighted at this accreditation which means that clients can be sure that they have instructed a true specialist in this area of law because my ability has been tested by independent outside assessors. I am also pleased that it establishes another advancement for the firm in being able to provide a recognised high level of expertise to clients."
His success comes soon after Denison Till, which has eight specialist departments all recognised as centres of excellence in national independent legal directories, was accepted to a nationwide legal panel set up by the Disability Rights Commission.
