ORGANISERS of the Money Show at the Merchant Adventurers Hall, York, on October 24, say they want to beam free financial advice at women in the area.
The Money Show is being organised by three York professional practices, Walsh Lucas, the independent financial advisers, CGA Accountancy and Ware & Kay solicitors.
Mike Lucas said that Kim Oldfield, his practice's only female adviser would be on hand for women, particularly who used to rely on their husband to do the finances, but were now cast adrift through death, separation or divorce. "Women feel less threatened on the subject when talking to other women," he said.
Also on hand will be staff members of CGA, where nine of the 11 team are females.
