HARRY Kewell is plotting a birthday celebration by tormenting Blackburn for the second season running.

The Aussie, 24 tomorrow, netted his first goal for three months in Leeds' 3-1 defeat of Blackburn in March and hit a double as United won 2-1 at Ewood Park in December.

He managed just eight league goals last term, but hopes to improve on that after being handed a more forward role by new boss Terry Venables, the position from which he headed the only goal as Leeds beat Manchester United for the first time in five years last week.

He said: "I love scoring goals no matter who it is against.

"In this team you always have a chance and the manager plays to our strengths. He has everything as a tactician so I believe we can win something this season."

"It's an exciting time at the club. We've just got to make sure we don't let our standards slip."

Lucas Radebe has decided to play one more game for South Africa before ending the club versus country issue which has caught the centre-back in the middle.

"My plan is to play a farewell match and then concentrate on my Leeds commitments," he said.

Radebe, 33, who has fought back from career-threatening injuries, has nearly two years left on his contract. He added: "I've still got something in the tank and I want to see out my contract with Leeds. To do that I'll have to call a halt to my international career."
