ACOMB kick-boxer Richard Cadden will be top of the bill when he faces his biggest test to date on Sunday.

After crashing onto the international stage with a sensational bronze medal at the Amateur World Cup in Thailand back in August, Cadden has earned the chance to face Bangkok's two times world champion Chan-rit Sit-o.

The pair will square up against each other in Crigglestone, Wakefield, as the feature fight of ten scheduled bouts - which include a British title, a Commonwealth belt and a European eliminator.

And Cadden has been putting in extra hours training as he looks to topple a man ranked at number four in the independent world rankings.

"This is the biggest test of my career," said Cadden. "I got my name in the frame after winning bronze at the World Cup and that has given me the opportunity of this fight.

"This is the hardest I've ever trained for a fight. I have got my concerns and worries, but I'm using these to push myself that little bit harder.

"I was a bit shocked when I saw his ranking, but I see this as a great opportunity for me to make my name."

The contest is set to be fought under full-Thai rules, which means knees and elbows can be used against the head and will last five three-minute rounds.

"This is as pure as you can get," added Cadden. "A top-class Thai fighter, under full regulations."
