IN response to the report 'Rivers go under scrutiny,' (September 13) I am so pleased city councillors are leading the way to make our treasured River Ouse as it used to be in days of old.
Last month I took a trip from Hull to York by boat and it was only then the eight passengers realised the extent of years of neglect on this wonderful waterway.
Is it possible to ask the Lotto board for cash to begin this worthy project?
Well done to the Evening Press, Yorkshire Water and city councillors.
