Having spent a two week holiday in Holland where I cycled everywhere, on Friday I decided to leave my car at home and do my shopping in York by bike. I arrived in the city centre at about 9.20am and left again half an hour later. There was nowhere to park my bike. Every bike rack in the centre was full. So I didn't spend any money and next time I will take my car.
