A THREE-metre high steel sculpture of a frog and a lily pad was unveiled at Knavesmire Primary School in York.
The sculpture was made as part of a project by Year One and Year Two pupils along with artist Peter Rogers.
Peter came into the school last year and helped the children design and create small models of animals and insects with wire.
All the pupils from the school then voted on which one they would like to be made into a large sculpture by Peter.
The aim was to have a something which would brighten up the main entrance to the school and the frog was chosen.
Year One teacher Alison Gage said: "The children think it is fantastic and are really excited about it. I think it is because they all took part by making models and then voting."
